Lisa Nakamura
Nguyen
Born to a Vietnamese father and Japanese mother, Lisa Nakamura Nguyen
comes to explorASIAN from Calgary, Alberta.
Previously a radio reporter, she relocated to Vancouver in 2008 to begin her role as a Communications Specialist for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games (VANOC). She was quick to connect with the community through her involvement in numerous volunteer engagement events for the Winter Games, as well as being a volunteer for explorASIAN in 2009.
Lisa is thrilled to be joining the festival once again in 2010, possessing
a degree in East Asian Studies from the University of Alberta and unprecedented
love for Asian travel and cuisine, she brings energy and an outspoken
passion to the Asian Heritage Month festival.
