Office Administration – Members of the Office Team will assist with various duties in the festival office including answering telephones, data entry, bookkeeping, preparation of media and sponsor kits, general office duties, etc.

Marketing Team – Members of the Marketing Team assist in the design, layout, and preparation of the explorASIAN web site and all explorASIAN print media such as promotional materials, flyers, etc. Volunteers with previous experience in Web site design, Graphic design or Desktop publishing are required. Photographers & Videographers will also be needed to record various festival events.

Volunteer Captains – The volunteer Captains keeps explorASIAN running smoothly by assisting with on-site logistics and event set-up. Duties are not fixed and you need to have a positive can-do attitude. Schedule flexibility and the ability to work under stress and fast-changing conditions will ensure your enjoyment of this volunteer experience.

Event Hosts – The Event Host Team represents explorASIAN. Event Host duties may include ticket sales, membership registration, ushering, VIP greeting, answering client questions etc.

I, * understand and acknowledge that, in volunteering for the 2010 explorASIAN Festival being organized by the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society (the 'Society'), I am entering into a volunteer relationship that can be terminated at any time by either myself or the Society, for any reason. I further understand that by signing this agreement, I give my permission to the Society to contact any references provided by me and to undertake a criminal records check (if necessary for specific departments, to which I will be notified ahead of time) which will be provided free of charge. I understand that any information provided by me on the Volunteer Application Form will be used by the Society to determine my suitability as a volunteer and for no other purpose than that of conducting the explorASIAN Festival Event and that any information received by the Society as a result of the reference and criminal records checks will not be provided to any third party.

All the information provided in the Volunteer Application Form is true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that if any of the information provided is determined to be false, I will not be asked to be a volunteer for explorASIAN Festival
