Over seventy people celebrated NATIONAL CANADIAN FILM DAY yesterday, viewing A Time to Swim & Re Lekuah, directed by Ashley Duong and presented in partnership with VAFF, explorASIAN, SEACHS, REEL CANADA, Museum of Vancouver and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. The screening took place in the domed screen at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre!

Time to Swim looked at an exiled indigenous activist from Montreal who returns to his childhood village in Borneo and struggles to navigate a complex web of interests and tensions in a race to save his culture.
