Debra Sloan focuses on the life and work of UBC professor and Burnaby resident, Thomas Kakinuma, who was a celebrated, award-winning, and internationally recognized ceramicist known for his intriguing mid-century pieces, charismatic animal sculptures and return to Japanese aesthetics through his post-war practice.
