The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open is about two Indigenous women from vastly different backgrounds who find their worlds colliding on an East Vancouver sidewalk when domestic violence forces one of them, a pregnant teen named Rosie, to flee her home. Read more here: 

The Breadwinner is about Parvana, an 11-year-old girl growing up under Taliban rule in Afghanistan in 2001. When her father is wrongfully arrested, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy in order to be able to get a job and help to support her family. Learn more here:
